RealPage (NAS: RP) reported earnings on Feb. 20. Here are the numbers you need to know.
The 10-second takeaway
For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), RealPage met expectations on revenues and met expectations on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue expanded significantly. Non-GAAP earnings per share grew significantly. GAAP earnings per share grew.
Margins expanded across the board.
RealPage logged revenue of $85.7 million. The nine analysts polled by S&P Capital IQ predicted sales of $86.7 million on the same basis. GAAP reported sales were 20% higher than the prior-year quarter's $71.1 million.

EPS came in at $0.14. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.14 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.14 for Q4 were 40% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.10 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.05 for Q4 were much higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.00 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 61.3%, 20 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.9%, 840 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.3%, 400 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $90.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.14.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $390.5 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.63.
The stock has a one-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 20 members out of 36 rating the stock outperform, and 16 members rating it underperform. Among 16 CAPS All-Star picks (recommendations by the highest-ranked CAPS members), nine give RealPage a green thumbs-up, and seven give it a red thumbs-down.
Of Wall Street recommendations tracked by S&P Capital IQ, the average opinion on RealPage is outperform, with an average price target of $28.71.
