Celebrate Your Day Off With Presidents Day Deals

×
Presidents Day saleIn case it slipped under your radar, Monday is Presidents Day. That means a day off from work for most employees, and a weekend full of deals and promotions.

While major retailers are typically wary of doing explicit promotions surrounding Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, they're happy to go wild with sales for President's Day. Macy's, for instance, takes 15% off with the code PRES, though it has its usual array of exclusions; see the website to see which brands and sections are excluded. Sears takes an extra 15% off spring fashions with the code ABELINCOLN, though we can't really imagine the 16th president wearing anything from the retailer's spring collection. The Gap is offering 30% off online through Monday when you use the code GAPBRIGHT, and up to 40% off in-stores on select styles.

Want to pick up some electronics? Best Buy takes 10% to 25% off major appliances through Monday, though some of its TV and computer deals are only good through Saturday.

Looking for kitchen supplies? Coupon site BeFrugal.com tipped us off that Pfaltzgraff offers 15% off site-wide with the code 13FEBPRES; you'll also get free shipping on orders over $49, lowered from the retailer's normal $99 threshold. Note that some items are excluded from the sale, though rather than post a list of exclusions a mile long like Macy's, Pfaltzgraff is just putting a green dollar sign icon next to all eligible items. The code is good through Tuesday.

Too bad there are no president's day deal on GASOLINE?
"Gas prices have risen for 32 days straight, according to AAA."
"Gas Prices Soar 51 Cents in Just Two Months"

And all witgh barely a peep from the almost criminally dishonest Obamamedia. When GWB was president every rise in gas prices had media reporters in front of gas pumps asking customers how much they are being hurt by gas costs.

And just like Obama's every WART, this is simply disregarded. Gas prices have now more than DOUBLE D since the hapless, inept community organizer showed up and STOPPED drilling on all public lands, off our shores, and killed the Keystone XL pipeline.

Obama is thrilled. He has always wanted high gas prices so that his untenable green agenda will look attractive. The man is a one man wrecking crew.

That is the result of " Hope and Change" . But things are worse than that. The price of everything is going up at a very fast pace. And if the did not go up then the package got smaller. This is what happens when a government (or lack of ) prints money to pay bills. The same people always pay

If the morons in upper corporate management at walmart would have 8 checkout lines operating at all times they might make some sales! 90% of the time it's just two cashiers open and 37 people in each line! Then half of those people will never shop at wallmart again because of that lame management decision. To some degree mgmt does not care because the people to them, are just like a herd of cattle. Hey top corperate mgmt. if you spend less money on buying corporate jets then maybe you can afford to pay cashiers a decent wage to bring more and better applicants! Duh.....

1) It's actually Washington's Birthday. NOT President's Day.

2) Who the hell has it off besides gov't employees and other non-essentials? I've worked for 45 years and never had either this or MLK Day off.

Ok, I generally don't like jokes that put down Obama, (not because I like him, but because he really was the lesser of two evils) but this is truly funny.
I was eating lunch on the 20th of February with my 10-year-old neighbor kid
and I asked him, "What day is tomorrow?"

He said "It's President's Day!"

He is a smart kid.

I asked "What does President's Day mean?"
I was waiting for something about Washington or Lincoln ... etc.

He replied, "President's Day is when President Obama steps out of the
White House, and if he sees his shadow we have one more year of
unemployment."

You know, it hurts when coffee spurts out your nose...
