Retail Properties of America, Inc. Announces First Quarter 2013 Dividends on Preferred and Common Shares

OAK BROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Retail Properties of America, Inc. (NYS: RPAI) today announced that the Board of Directors declared the initial cash dividend for the Company's 7.00% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares. The dividend of $0.4861 per preferred share, for the period beginning December 20, 2012, will be paid on April 1, 2013, to preferred shareholders of record on March 21, 2013.

The Company also announced that its Board declared the quarterly cash dividend of $0.165625 per share on all classes of outstanding common shares of RPAI. The common dividend will be paid on April 10, 2013, to common shareholders of record on March 29, 2013.
