Wabash National Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

Wabash National (NYS: WNC) reported earnings on Feb. 5. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Wabash National missed estimates on revenues and beat expectations on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue increased significantly and GAAP earnings per share grew significantly.

EPS came in at $0.32. The six earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.31 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.16 for Q4 were much higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.11 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 13.1%, 710 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.1%, 460 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 19.3%, 1,710 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $414.8 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.26.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.80 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.29.
