Avnet (NYS: AVT) reported earnings on Jan. 24. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $1.01. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.83 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.99 for Q2 were 1.0% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.98 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 11.5%, 20 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 2.9%, 110 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 2.1%, 10 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $5.97 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.80.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $24.26 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.12.
The stock has a four-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 241 members out of 257 rating the stock outperform, and 16 members rating it underperform.
