American Water Closes Sale of $300 Million of Senior Unsecured Notes
VOORHEES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYS: AWK) , the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, today announced that its financing subsidiary, American Water Capital Corp., successfully closed the sale of $300 million of its 4.300% Senior Notes due December 1, 2042.
The company intends to use the proceeds from this offering to refinance certain redemptions of long-term debt and to fund the repayment of short-term debt.
The underwriters for the offering include BofA Merrill Lynch; Goldman, Sachs & Co.; RBS Securities Inc.; PNC Capital Markets LLC.; U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc.; TD Securities (USA) LLC.; and BNY Mellon Capital Markets, LLC.
