HMS CIO Cynthia Nustad Named a Premier IT Leader by Computerworld

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HMS Holdings Corp. (NAS: HMSY) —a leading provider of cost-containment services for Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare payers—today announced that Chief Information Officer Cynthia Nustad has been named one of IDG's Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2013.

The Premier 100 recognizes 100 leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies. Now in its 14th year, this awards program shines a spotlight on technology and business leaders from a broad range of organizations who have displayed exceptional technology leadership in their organizations, fostered ideas and creative work environments, envisioned innovative approaches to business problems, and effectively managed IT strategies.

The award honors Nustad's leadership in transforming IT at HMS, communicating technology strategy, and delivering key strategic projects, including her team's creation of a next-generation data warehouse for the company.

"Thanks to a talented and hardworking IT team, we have been able to execute on our goals and partner with our business to help drive exceptional products and services to our clients," Nustad said. "I am humbled to serve as a leader for a team of this stature. This award is the team's award. At HMS we are proud of the work we do to positively influence the healthcare system, and we all know how technology can drive change."

Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld, agrees: "The Premier 100 awards program showcases the exceptional work of a dedicated group of senior IT leaders who are driving huge change in their organizations. Every day, these exemplary business leaders make strategic technology decisions that track to their organizations' top priorities."

HMS CEO Bill Lucia also sees the value of Nustad's contribution. "The Premier 100 is a lifetime award; once you win, you're in," he said. "Because of Cynthia's work in helping HMS leverage technology to power the healthcare system with integrity, she has made us enduring winners as well."
