How to Bag a Bargain When Booking Flights

Airlines in this day an age are doing everything they can to get back some of the money that they have lost due to over the top fuel prices. There has always been first class seats that cost a premium price and with that comes a premium service so you at least get something for your additional investment. Should an airline charge more for a coach seat just because it is closer to the front of the plane or if a seat is near the window, of course not. That is just an insult. They are already charging you for baggage which for years has been free. Food has been eliminated from coach unless you want to buy a cold sandwich but you do still get a free coffee and soda. That is unless you are sitting at the back of the plane because most of the time they run out before it gets to you. That is probably why you pay more to sit in the front because in the end, you are actually paying for those drinks.

I OVERHEARD A GUY WITH A SMALL CHILD ASK A FLIGHT ATTENDANT IF SHE COULD MOVE TO AN EMPTY ROW...THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT SAID "SURE, BUT THOSE ARE PREMIUM ECONOMY, $59 EACH MORE, YOU'D HAVE TO GO BACK OUT TO THE GATE AGENT AND PAY FOR THEM BEFORE YOU MOVE",,,,,, ARE YOU KIDDING? Southwest tells us Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays are the best days to purchase tickets. Check their website because there are always bargain seats and that goes for Airtran too.

Well I agree the airlines make a killing on the military. Humm in world war 2 many service men came home and didn't cost hardly anything. But then the airlines know the military want to come home for holidays and they up the rates.... Greed it is all it is..

My comment is "SHAME ON THE AIRLINES" for NOT having special Rates for Armed Forces Kids. My son did a year in Afghanistan "road clearance" and cant afford to come home for xmas 1200 bucks from Ft Benning Ga to Hartford...The Airline tell you they have military rate which drops cost by 25 bucks BIG DEAL!! Then, these internet finance Military flights are a RIP-OFF too as they say costs are discounted but its just a lie to suck in kids in the Military as they soak them with huge interest payback. American business LIE - SCAM- and then screw the next guy....... FREE for only 49.99 is seen all over the internet.....Credit Scores etc etc why do our leaders let these shams continue? and to make our soldiers pay high unaffordable costs to get home, man......no words for it.
