The video above is from Friday's Motley Fool Money roundtable discussion with host Chris Hill and analysts Charly Travers, Tim Hanson and Joe Magyer. In this segment, the guys talk about how crucial fourth-quarter sales are to many retail companies, and what investors should be looking for in this space.
Macy's (NYS: M) made headlines recently when it announced that it will be hiring an additional 80,000 seasonal workers for holiday help, an increase of 2.5% over last year's seasonal hires. Kohl's (NYS: KSS) , Amazon (NAS: AMZN) , Wal-Mart (NYS: WMT) , and Nordstrom (NYS: JWN) are among the other retailers hiring an increased number of seasonal workers this year. Check out the video to listen in on the full discussion.
