Dynamics Inc. and UMB Increase Experience™ Provider Rate to 0.5% for the ePlate™ Payment System

Dynamics and UMB will release the ePlate™ device before Thanksgiving 2012

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dynamics Inc., an innovator in next-generation payment devices, announced today that it is increasing its developer rate from 0.25% of each transaction to 0.5%. The ePlate™ payment device, which was announced earlier this year, will be released before Thanksgiving.

"By doubling the rate to the experience™ providers, Dynamics is doubling the value to the end consumer," said George Schmelzel, senior vice president of UMB Credit Card Services.

The ePlate™ device is a paper-thin, flexible computing platform in a payment card format. The device includes the Electronic Stripe® -- the world's first fully card-programmable magnetic stripe - which can be read at any existing point-of-sale (POS) magnetic stripe reader. The device will be Visa branded and can be used everywhere Visa cards are accepted.

"The Dynamics ePlate™ device issued by UMB offers consumers the ability to earn exclusive, instant, and personal benefits without requiring the consumer to do anything other than live their everyday life," stated Jeff Mullen, Dynamics CEO, "This is just the beginning. As more experience™ providers are announced, the ePlate™ device will only widen the gap from traditional loyalty-oriented credit cards."
