Hot Toys For the Holidays: Walmart, Toys R Us Make Their Predictions

Toys R UsLet the games begin: Toys R Us and Walmart (WMT) have unveiled their hot holiday toy lists, sending the message to shoppers that the Christmas selling season has officially begun.

Expect to see more top-toy lists from retailers such as Target (TGT) and Amazon (AMZN) trickle in over the next few weeks. (On Wednesday, Kohl's (KSS) debuted its list.)

But for now, here are a dozen of the toys Walmart and Toys R Us, the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 toy chains, respectively, hope will fly off their shelves this holiday season.




But will any toys be hot enough to save toymakers? One analyst has downgraded the stocks of some of the biggest names in the game. Read more:

we have done all of our holiday shopping for this year. not one penny was spent at walmart . we checked all prices a couple of times.at alot of different places on line and off.we saved 200$ or more by not going to walmart or other big retail stores quality not china made was the goal it took time but we did it
