Pop Quiz: Do You Know the Cool Facts About Cold, Hard Cash?

×
Steve Boggan
Recently, British writer Steve Boggan followed a $10 bill for a month, tracking its movements as it passed from person to person across America. In that time, as Boggan documented in his Twitter feed and in a later book, his sawbuck went from construction workers to grocery stores, bartenders to bankers, flowing through dozens of hands.

Forget flags and fireworks: When it comes to things that really hold America together, few things beat the little scraps of green and black paper that we keep in our pockets. These tiny pictures of Presidents and patriots pay for our necessities and feed our dreams, but how much do we really know about them? While researching U.S. currency, we compiled this little quiz. If you've ever wondered about the bills in your pocket, take a peek!

The technologies I own: Graviton Matrix, Photon Exchange Technology (worth more than fusion), the T-Drive, Solar Fractionation, and more, are worth almost a trillion dollars. I couldn't care less how much it weighs in currency. Two of the most important points about cash were completely missed in this quiz. If you look at a bill you'll notice it says "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private". Basically this means it is a bearer instrument, unlike say a cheque which may have your name on it and only you can spend it. A "bearer" instrument means it belongs to the bearer, or the person holding it. If you pick-up a dollar bill from the side walk, legally it belongs to you. Of course, I would return it if I knew who lost it. The second is, if you look closely you will see two signatures by agents of the US Treasury, the Treasurer of the United States and the Secretary of the Treasury. These signatures make it a legal note, but the soundness of the note depends on the soundness of the US Treasury which employs these two agents. This soundness is based on a series of three letters which until very recently were AAA or triple A, the highest rating. Now, for the first time in history the rating has been reduced to AA- or double A minus, essentialy reducing the faith or soundness of the currency.
The ink color becomes academic.

Yo... dxman7... I've been there - BUT - what I would NEVER do... is to be without God and his son Jesus Christ - for a mil-a-second - let alone a day, wee k, month...etc!

God will always watvh out for his children, as he did me, and by the way... my last year gross income was a bit shy of $200,000.00 - not bad from a zero!

Through God...All things are possible! Keep the Faith, and beleive in his word!
