PepsiCo beat estimates, announcing a 4% increase in prices while increasing volume. Drink volume increased 1%, but snack volume gained 6%. Consumer-goods analyst Austin Smith thinks Pepsi's snack portfolio has certain advantages over rival Coca-Cola's snacks, which is why he bought Pepsi in addition to Coke. Look for Pepsi to continue growing in international markets.
