8 Easy Ways to Slash Your Food Bills by $2,000 or More

Grocery Bill ShoppingWhen you buy a tub of popcorn at your local movie theater, you know that you're overpaying for the treat -- significantly. In fact, a lawsuit was recently filed against a theater chain, accusing it of overcharging.

Odds are, though, that you overpay for food much more often than you realize. According to Ziplist.com, a grocery-list-making service and app, Americans pay thousands of dollars a year more than they need to.

Here's Ziplist.com's list of overpriced foods. As you go through the list take a moment to calculate how much you spend -- and might save -- on these items. Each of us has a different food-and-drink-buying profile, after all.

RE: how to save 2000 on your grocery bill. This is all garbage food, GMO or worse, I am not sure there is worse. But all of the items here were NOT organic. There was one decent tip, brew your coffee at home. As far as bottled water, if you filter city water it is still laden with pesticides, chemicals, medication etc. Filters only take out some microbials, lead, and the chlorine odor. You still get toxic water.

The best way to save is quit eating out. Buy your food (you control the quality of the ingredients) and cook it at home. You not only eat cheaper, but better (you can feed your family a nice steak for the price of fast food). As far as water is concerned, get a copy of your community's Consumer Confidence Report, which will give you what the water test results have been over the last year. Buy a quality filter (you can install it in less than 15 minutes with nothing more than a screwdriver and pair of pliers). Most bottled water is chlorinated and filtered, just like your tap water would be anyway. If you don't believe me, check Consumer Reports. All you get with buying bottled water is a plastic bottle (to clutter the landfill) and a false sense of security.

Who cares about saving a few pennies when you can sit back and get thousands for free, for doing nothing but coming to this county illegally and filling out a few tax forms...

Did you know that illegal immigrants all over the United States are using a massive scam to receive tax refunds from the federal government that are often in excess of $10,000? It is estimated that 2 million illegal immigrants are filing fraudulent tax returns each year and that they are pulling in more than 4 billion dollars in tax refunds every year that they are not entitled to. They are doing this by abusing the additional child tax credit and the IRS knows all about it and yet they refuse to do anything to stop it. Illegal immigrants are filing tax returns that sometimes claim 10 or 12 nieces and nephews as dependents, and most of the time those nieces and nephews do not even live in the United States. So while you and I are being taxed into oblivion, many illegal immigrants are often pulling in tax refunds that are well into five figures. At a time when the federal government is absolutely drowning in debt, this is the type of fraud that desperately needs to be cracked down on, and

Last year, the whistleblower alerted the IRS to dozens of examples of illegal immigrants using this scam.

So what happened?

Absolutely nothing.

The IRS took no action.

But they seem to have plenty of time to come after you and I, don't they?

The WTHR investigation mentioned above discovered one instance in which it was claimed that a total of 20 children lived in one trailer in Indiana.

Because of tax credits for those children, a total of $29,608 was paid out to several illegal immigrant workers.

But when a reporter from WTHR went to the trailer, he found that only one girl actually lived there.

Republicans love spending money starting wars, Democrats love spending money on buying votes and taking vacations. Tax payers love spending money on food, putting a roof over their heads, as well as trying to save money for retirement and putting their kids thru school..

Both party's have a problem connecting with the working class..

Soon the food police will have us all and making us eat tofu bean sprouts and soy This will negate food savings and that happy feeling one gets from eating some fun and tastey food. The soy ect will cost you thousands more in the end which 95% of america can't afford . Imagine not being fat but dying from lack of food in america wave your bean sprouts proudly
