Disney World Scammers Scored Four Years of Free Vacations

A trio of Florida men have been charged with running an elaborate free vacation scheme in the "Happiest Place on Earth," Disney World.

Officials told WFTV Joseph Geiger, Robert Falk and Steven Nero allegedly spent four years living off the land in Mickey Mouse's backyard, racking up as much as $15,000 in hotel charges in one month alone.

They managed to pull off the scheme four years in a row by taking advantage of the park's reservation system loopholes.

"Investigators found that the men would book hotel rooms with one credit card and then put down a second, pre-paid debit card with only a $1 or $2 on it to cover any charges to the room. They would then go out in the parks, bill everything to the room and take off before the charges caught up and employees found out," according to WFTV.

What's not clear is whether the credit cards they used were fraudulent or stolen as well.

The jig was up when a cigar shop worker tipped off the theme park's authorities, which called in law enforcement.

I'm amazed at how many people in the comments section think that it's OK to steal from a company just because they think the companies products are overpriced or they don't like the product. No wonder America is going down the tubes if this is what passes for morality these days.

FOUR YEARS! Somebody is not too bright! If these guys pulled this scam at the same place for four years somebody in management in not looking too good. Of course these guys were probably not too bright pulling the same scam, same place (I assume from the article) four years in a row. Maybe now they will get an all expenses paid vacation in the slammer!

I've been going to Disney World for the pass 10 years. When you give them your credit card, they check your account too see if you have the availble balance to cover your account. I don:t see how these three men could have gotten away with this. Dianey is very up on thing like this.
