We all shop at local drugstores for health and beauty needs, but with gas prices on the rise, online drugstores are a great way to get all of your personal items without leaving the comfort of your home. As an added bonus, shopping online can actually save you money versus shopping at a brick and mortar store.

Online drugstores offer many of the same brands and products that are available to you at your local retailer. In fact, with Amazon.com's Subscribe and Save program, you can save up to 15 percent off your go-to cleaning supplies, baby care products and more. Shipping is free, and you can even set how often your delivery comes. If you want to cancel, you can do so at any time with no hidden charges.

With sites like Drugstore.com and Soap.com, you can stock up on hygiene and beauty products, and score free shipping after reaching a certain dollar amount in your shopping cart. Soap.com also has a savings program called My 5 Faves, which automatically gives you 10 percent off of five frequently purchased items of your choice.

medicine onlineOn top of that, sites often offer instant coupons, while also honoring manufacturer coupons, which means you can easily double up on your savings. Just check your online drugstore's coupon policy -- some require that you mail the hard coupons in ahead of time.

So, the next time you need to replenish your toiletries, think twice about driving to the store. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you can save both time and money.

I go to the dollar tree where everything in the store is one dollar seeing I only use a single blade razor to shave with I can get 6 razors for a dollar and they have a great shaving gel there as well. My beard is way to heavy to use a multi blade shaver on and electric shavers get hung up in my whiskers

Being the owner of a retail store I support my local retailers as much as possible. If my neighbors don't have jobs due to online shopping how can I expect them to spend money at my establishment. And then there is the whole idea of social interaction in the flesh, I need to get away from this thing occasionaly and see hear and smell people.

I bought several packages of a name brand razor blade from a seller on ebay. Packages looked authentic but the blades themselves were cheaply made and rusted after 2 uses. Just chucked them in the garbage and learned another life's lesson. Local shopping forever.

Just like my grandpa, I use double edged razor blades. You can purchase enough blades to last over a year for less than $20. I do have to be careful. Aside from that, I really haven't noticed any difference really expensive comfort blades and the double edged blades. I haven't nicked myself in over two years.

Companies that go through Amazon does not always give free shipping.
I ordered 5 large tooth pastes and 1 small one.
They charged me for shipping twice.

Walmarts prices are good enough for me, besides how much is shipping on some of this stuff?

If everyone buys online then the drug store goes out of business then when you need something immediately you can't get, people need to support local business.

I have tried many types of razors and only the Gillette Trac II Plus blade does it's job the way I like it. However, trying to find this blade in the stores now is almost impossible. Therefore, I googled it on line and found out that buying in bulk saves me about 40% off the retail price that the store marks up. So, my last order was 2 years ago, and I will be ordering again in the nerar future. Just one less thing I don't have to worry about when shopping.

People, get a $30 adjustable Gillette safety razor off EBAY, then use double edged blades. $3 or less for a 10-pack. Wipe the blade off each shave, they last 5 shaves. 6cents a shave. Been doing it for 40 years.

Phooey! Compared prices with Walmart and there is no contest, Walmart is cheaper. The sales prices on the above mentioned web sites were higher than the regular prices at Walmart!
