Introducing DailyFinance's New Portfolio Experience

At DailyFinance, we are always striving to serve you better. We have just launched a new portfolio experience for you and we will continue to work to improve it. Starting now, here are the changes you will see in your portfolio.

Value
  • Shows the overall state/value of your portfolio
  • Please note if your portfolio contains mixed currency positions, we will not be able to show the value of your portfolio. This will show N/A. This is unchanged behavior as before.
Gain/Loss
  • Shows both the dollar amount and the percentage gain or loss for the position based on the Average Cost Basis.
Net Change
  • Shows both the dollar amount and the percentage gain or loss for the day.
% Portfolio (New)
  • Shows you what percentage of your portfolio is comprised of the particular position. If it is a mixed currency portfolio, the % column will show N/A.
vs. S&P
  • Compare your stocks' gains or losses with the S&P index.
Sorting
  • Sort your portfolio to your preferred view by clicking on the column header by which you would like to sort.
If your portfolio contained the following, you will likely not see any value for now. We are working toward restoring some of these items. Please bear with us while we make these changes.
  • Money Market Instruments
  • Bonds (other than Federal issues)
  • Preferred stocks
  • Hyphenated Symbols, e.g., ABC-A
  • Stocks with a 3 month trading value under $50,000
  • International Symbols
If your portfolio contained the following, you will not see any quotes:
  • Delisted Symbols
  • Symbols that have changed.

I used to be able to get EPS, P/E ratios, BETA, and Mkt Cap for stocks in my portfolios with you. Now I can't; are those items stil available, and if so, how? Gary

The issue with preferred stocks dropping off after the close is most disturbing. I am opening up a Yahoo account. I am so surprised that AOL allows this inferior product to be used.

I'm not happy about the new portfolio format and less happy about news from the Huffington Puffington post.
The old portfolio format was superior . I will miss the split calculator among other features. Maybe it's time to dump AOL for good.

After 346 negative comments and zero positive comments in regard to the new format for the stock porfolios, it's obvious that AOL has no concern for its subscribers. All of the input we have all communicated to them through phone calls, online chats and in this area of comments have, obviously, been pointless. The comments here have expressed our displeasure with the new format and this input has been disregarded by AOL. The old format was much more useful. We have stated the many reasons we are displeased with the new format and how we are upset that AOL deleted information from our portfolios without our permission. But, in the end, nothing has changed.

I've kept AOL for more than 15 years because the portfolio features were superior to all other internet sources. I hate the new format. It doesn't give me the information I need. I haven't dropped AOL hoping they will go back to the old format.

Disappointed that I cannot enter my preferred stocks? When will this be possible? Prefer the old format.
