They want to shut down the only remaining source of factual information because people are turning off the TV and going to the net to find our what is really happening. They fear the truth being revealed the way cockroaches fear the light.
You can find things like this on the net but not in the major corporately controlled media.
Ben Shalom Bernanke, a student of the Great Depression, gave a speech in 2002 at Milton Friedman’s 90th birthday in honor of Friedman’s work on the monetary causes of the Great Depression. Friedman had claimed to trace the “cause” of the Great Depression to the Fed’s contraction of the money supply. Bernanke said in his address:
...."Let me end my talk by abusing slightly my status as an official representative of the Federal Reserve. I would like to say to Milton and Anna [Schwartz, co-author of A Monetary History of the US.]: Regarding the Great Depression. You’re right, we did it. We’re very sorry. But thanks to you, we won’t do it again."
There you have it right from the mouth of Ben S. Bernanke. The Federal Reserve caused The Great Depression. They are the cause of the depression we are now in too. This one is just beginning. It's going to be much worse than the Great Depression before it's over and America will never again be the same great and prosperous nation again.
What they really want is to crack down on anti government rants that the public likes to vent from time to time.

and I would not trust any over sight by any global body there crazy!!!!
Its all about knowing who you are and what your doing.
I have already disabled all the GPS devices in my phone laptop and my onstar
in my car because of the very same reasons. Talk about big brother!!!
Its not just government you have to worry about big business likes to share
all that information also.
If they want to keep the internet safe... they should keep government regulation out of the internet.
Government is the biggest criminal of all.
Anyone who believes Obama wants to INCREASE freedom over the internet should have their head examined, all one needs to do is look at the HuffPo takeover of AOL to see how these so called self described liberals feel about freedom to express an opinion.

I personally know people who have lost substantial amounts to scammers, and nothing that they can do about it, because the scammers are out of reach in some other country.
