This week's Friday Freebies include two rare deals -- a free photo sitting and portrait and free popcorn at the movies -- plus a bunch of of personal care items like shampoo, lotion, and tea. If the freebies are trying to send us a message this week, it is to relax!
Get a free photo portrait, either 10" x 13" or 8" x 10", at Picture People through May 16, 2011. The photography studio has no sitting fees and you will get your picture taken and photos developed in about an hour. Sweet! The free pictures are for single-image color portrait sheets. You can also get a 20% discount on color portrait sheets, portrait packages, and photo cards that measure 10" x 13" or smaller with the coupon above. One per customer, group, or family. Portrait People has locations in 30 states across the country. You can book an appointment at a photo studio near you online. Caveats: Not valid on existing orders or reprints. Offer valid in studio only. Cannot be used in combination with any other offer.Get a free popcorn at the movies March 18 through March 20, 2011, at Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theaters. Buy your movie ticket, then present the coupon that you print from the above link at the concession stand. One coupon per person. Make sure to print the coupon by March 18, 2011, at 6 p.m. PST or you will lose out! Caveats: Valid at participating locations only. Not valid with any other offer or discounts.
Get a free sample of green tea courtesy of GreenTea Hawaii. Share your name, email and address to get this freebie. The free sample will include a week's worth of tea in the company's three flavors: pineapple strawberry, raspberry lemonade and original. Green tea contains antioxidants that are healthy for you. GreenTea Hawaii goes as far as to say its beverage helps you lose weight by increasing your metabolism and reducing your appetite. The site has testimonials from customers who say drinking their green tea has helped them lose 15 pounds. Mix each tea packet with 12 to 16 ounces of water and drink.
I've never heard of Shona Shampoo, but the hair models on this free shampoo sample page are so alluring I'm willing to share my name and address to get this freebie. The form doesn't even ask for your email. Shona Shampoo was started in September 2010 by a hairstylist named Larisa Dean, who is based in San Jose, Calif. The Shona website claims the product is unlike regular shampoo in that it cleans without lathering and won't strip your hair and scalp of your natural oils. Request a sample, and you be the judge. Caveats: It's available to residents of the U.S. and Canada only. Your free sample will arrive in 7-10 days.
Get a free sample of Vaseline Intensive Rescue lotion through EverydayHealth.com, a website by Unilever, which owns the Vaseline brand. Share your name, gender, date of birth, email and address to get a free sample. You can opt in or out of Unilever's email and mailing list, though I don't believe this will fully prevent the company from contacting you. The offer is good while supplies last. Vaseline Intensive Rescue claims to speed the healing of dry skin with a non-greasy formula. I've used this lotion before and find it satisfactory. Nothing to write home about, but it'll do the job. The free sample size is great for traveling. Caveats: There are 1 million free samples of Vaseline Intensive Care lotion to be given away. One per household. You must be 18 years or older to receive this freebie.
Mark your calender for March 24, 2011. That's when you can get free Suave -- a FULL SIZE bottle of Suave for Professionals, to boot -- if you are one of the first 200,000 people who visit Suave's Facebook fan page. Word on the street is that you will be able to get free Suave from the company's website, too.
If you live in New York City, on March 24 from 1-4 p.m. in Union Square, Emmy Rossum of Showtime's Shameless will be quizzing locals if they can tell the difference between name brands and Suave for Professionals. Join the crowd and get a free full size bottle of Suave for Professionals. Caveats: Unclear how long the free Suave for Professionals will take to arrive in the mail. Not sure if the freebie is for shampoo or conditioner.
This next deal isn't totally free, but I know how much you love frozen yogurt (oh wait, that's me). Get a free TCBY frozen yogurt coupon when you join the chain's email list. The coupon is valid with any purchase so it basically amounts to a buy one get one free coupon. Not bad! Expires March 26, 2011. Share your name, email, zip code, month and day of birth to join the list and get the coupon. While you're signing up, you'll get a list of nearby stores; pick one as your preferred location. If you do not live near a TCBY, you will not get a coupon. TCBY promises it will never sell or rent your personal information, however, you can expect to receive some updates from TCBY after signing up for this freebie. You can always unsubscribe to the emails. Caveats: You must be 13 or older to sign up for the TCBY email list and to redeem the free frozen yogurt coupon. The freebie excludes pints, quarts, cakes and pies. One per customer. The cashier may ask you for ID. Not valid with any other offer. Photocopies are not accepted.
