Beyond Early Bird Discounts -- Savings for Seniors

After compiling this huge list of senior discounts and freebies, I'm convinced that, if you're of a certain age, it's just a matter of asking to save money. Just remember to bring ID, as many retailers and restaurants will ask for proof of your age. After all, you look so young!SeniorDiscounts.com - For a site that looks awfully spammy, you'd be surprised how many freebie tips and coupons just for seniors are stuffed into the free weekly newsletter. Paid memberships start at $13 and offer additional perks, but you can still get a lot out of the free membership.

AARP - members have access to an extensive list of discounts on shopping, health products, car rentals, restaurants and more for $16 a year. And you only have to be 49.5 years old, which means if you are too young to qualify for individual retailer senior discounts, AARP may be your best bet. But using your AARP card may not yield the biggest discount on hotels, says SmarterTravel.

AMC Theaters - The 60 and older set can purchase tickets at a discount. The savings vary by region, but tickets can be as low as $4.50.

Castle Ink has a great coupon for seniors that gets them up to 25% off printer ink cartridges and laser toner at http://www.castleink.com. Here are the details:
For every year over the age of 50, you get one percent off your order. So if you are 70, you'll always get 20% off your order. The maximum discount amount is 25% and this offer can't be combined with any others.

Noemally, when you hit the print ICON on the page you wish to print, the page is adjusted to a cleaned up verison of what you see on the web page. However, when I printed out this page expecting a cleaned up verison perhaps 2 pages long, it was printed out as 11 pages even showing things that weren't even on the page and certainly not wanted by anyone! What a waste of paper and ink, MINE! Please notify the user that it is going to do this so tey won't bother to waste their resources.
