family dollar tank recallFamily Dollar Stores recalled about 67,000 remote-controlled toy tanks after getting five reports of the controllers overheating and melting, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

So far, no one has been burned by the toys, but consumers should take the toy away from children, remove the batteries and return the tank to the store for a refund, CPSC said. The toy -- made in China and imported by Family Dollar -- was sold nationwide only at Family Dollar stores from September 2010 through December 2010 for about $5 each. The toy affected by the recall is the Authentic Heroes Target Practice Tank play set, a green toy tank attached by a cable to a gray, battery-powered controller. The toy moves forward and backward, rotates its turret and fires projectiles. The controller takes three AAA batteries and has the words "Target Practice Tank Play Set" on it.

Call Family Dollar at (800) 547-0359 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

Last year, Family Dollar recalled millions of toy dart sets after two boys choked to death on the darts.
