It is almost exactly one year since Graco recalled 1.5 million strollers after five children lost their fingertips in those strollers. That recall followed one a few months earlier by Maclaren, which recalled 1 million strollers after a dozen children lost fingertips. The CPSC said when someone is opening or closing the phil&teds strollers they can get a finger caught in the hinge. The two other injuries involved cuts.
The recall includes the sport v2 and classic v1 models. The sport v2 model stroller came in red, orange, green, black, charcoal, navy and graffiti print. Serial numbers for the sport v2 are 0308/0001 to 0510/0840. The classic v1 only came in red and has serial numbers 308/0001 to 0510/0906.
The Chinese-made strollers were sold from from May 2008 through July 2010 for $350-$450.
