Hulu Plus, the paid version of the popular video-streaming website Hulu, just opened up the paid TV streaming service to all users at a lower-than-expected price of $7.99 a month. Hulu
Plus is offering a free, weeklong trial to all users, including those watching on PlayStation 3, iPad, iPhone, or other compatible device.
Hulu Plus primarily offers access to TV shows from the major networks like ABC, Fox, NBC and others, adding up to more than 120 seasons of TV shows. This includes many new shows that make their way onto the Hulu service within a day of broadcast, such as 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, ParentHood, The Office, Modern Family and others as well as older favorites like 21 Jump Street and Doogie Howser, M.D.. The shows stream in 720P HD, the same quality as you'll see from your HD cable service
On top of providing access to more shows, Hulu Plus also allows you to watch Hulu on more devices and on your HDTV. Some of the supported devices include the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the PlayStation 3, Roku Box, Tivo Premier, Vizio TVs and it will soon come to the Xbox 360. Notably, you can't watch Hulu plus on the Apple TV or Google TV at this time.
