AOL's Wow promotes "Real Deals for Real People," targeting busy families. Though Wow only offers one national deal per week, there is no minimum buy requirement for the deal to come through. Business Insider introduced "Pipeline" on Friday for the business-minded consumer, offering deals like a $65 custom dress shirt from Proper Cloth (35% discount).
Several national chains are fostering partnerships with discount websites already, and the continuing popularity of online deals is attracting even more national chains to create deals. Yipit, known for its aggregation of local group-buying deals, launched Yipit Nation today in order to provide a similar aggregation for the more than 35 national deal websites.
Like its local city-based deals, Yipit Nation will tap into every national promotion and send out a daily email of offers based on user preferences.
"I think the bigger national brands are getting excited about doing this," said Vinicius Vacanti, Co-Founder & CEO of Yipit. "People buy a lot of stuff online, and there is no reason why there can't be more deals out there."
