The latest in LinkedIn bells and whistles? A new recommendations feature for its company pages, which allows users to chime in with recommendations for companies' products and services.

"By displaying their strongest recommendations to prospective customers and employees on LinkedIn, businesses can use Company Pages to accelerate growth and trust in their brands," CEO Jeff Weiner said in a statement Monday.

Users also stand to benefit from receiving "trusted" recommendations from their professional peers and that could help them make timely decisions, the company says. The feature launches with 40 companies already signed on, from AT&T (T) to Philips.
