Target is the latest retailer to get in on the early sale action, announcing pre-Thanksgiving sales, online deals for Thanksgiving day, an expanded toy selection and additional doorbuster deals for shoppers on Black Friday itself.
Beginning Sunday, Nov. 21, Target will begin offering specials on approximately 170 items including toys, electronics and movies for the four days leading up to Black Friday. Coupons will be available in Target's Nov. 21 weekly ad for extra savings.
On Thanksgiving Day, get free shipping on purchases of $50 or more on Target.com. According to the retailer, there will be extra deals online only and the free shipping offer extends through Dec. 11.
For the die-hard Black Friday shoppers, Target will have 25 doorbuster deals, and hand out $10 gift cards to anyone spending $100 or more before 10 a.m. on Black Friday. The cards will be redeemable after that day.
Target already has its toy catalog online and will ship printed copies on Nov. 7, complete with 48 coupons. The retailer has expanded its toy selection by 10%, will be be offering half off brands like Thomas & Friends, FurReal and Trio Building Systems by Fisher Price.
And for the shoppers who take the expert's advice and plan out their Black Friday shopping in advance, two days before Black Friday, Target will make store maps available for downloading to a mobile device, or printing from Target.com -- all the better find the deals.
