iPhone apps can make Black Friday shopping easierNavigate efficiently through Black Friday mobs or even avoid the masses all together by using your iPhone. A simple download can save both cash and chaos. The following featured apps are free and designed to make shopping easier, especially on stressful days like Nov. 26.

While many face the cold and the crowds this Black Friday, you can shop from home by using your iPhone. Amazon doesn't have any store locations to compete with its online shop, meaning that all of Amazon's lowest sales are available from your couch. Shop on the Amazon app, where users can buy everything from TVs to toys. The application allows customers to compare prices in order to find the best deal possible and Amazon customizes a suggestion area based on previous purchases. In case you do hit the stores on Black Friday, use the "Amazon Remembers" section where you can store photos of desired items in any store. If you don't want to wait in the crazy lines, Amazon Remembers will try to find a similar item on the web.
Curl up with a good book on Black Friday instead of elbowing through mobs. Plenty of eBooks will go on sale the day after Thanksgiving. Purchase and download them from home. Borders has its own Borders eBooks app that features an entire library of reads and allows users to organize personal libraries by date, title, author or latest read. Apple also has its own version of eBooks called iBooks. iBooks gives readers the option to preview books before purchasing, so there won't be any unpleasant surprises. Apple also offers a complimentary -- and beautifully illustrated -- copy of Winnie-the-Pooh with the app download.

Black Friday's the ideal time to purchase low-priced holiday gifts, but sometimes the crowded atmosphere is less than desirable. Instead of traditional presents, give an electronic one using Apple's app store. If friends or family members also own iPhones, iPod Touches or iPads, pick out an app that suits each individual. Simply hit the arrow next to the price and click "Gift this app" on the drop down bar. Fill in a personal message, hit send and voila: a holiday gift without lines, wrapping paper or Black Friday herds.

If you can't resist the Black Friday rush and must hit the stores, download Mall Maps before you go. Locate the desired deals fast by using the store directory. The app features more than 350 malls across all 50 states and lets you dial individual stores so you can ask if the sale you're after is still in stock. Mall Maps won't let you get lost in the crowds by locating stores easily.

It's tough to tell the real from the rumored ads with Black Friday still more than a month away. Dealnews.com's free Black Friday App, identifies which discounts have been verified and which are only rumored. Browse, search and create your own shopping list for the big day. It even has a built in countdown to Black Friday, just in case you forget.
