A Barbie doll featuring a diamond necklace sold at a New York auction for a record $302,500.
The one-off Barbie is wearing a black strapless evening gown with a choker necklace featuring a one-carat square-cut pink diamond, BBC News said.
The price smashed the previous record for a Barbie sale, $17,091. That record was set in 2006.
The diamond necklace Barbie is the creation of Stefano Canturi, an Australian jewelry designer.
Canturi said he wanted to pay homage to Barbie's "modern yet timeless style."
The proceeds from the sale will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
