LG Electronics Inc (LGLD) may delay the introduction of its tablet computer device as it focuses on producing a competitive smartphone.
The South Korean company may introduce its tablet device at a trade show in Las Vegas in January, Bloomberg News said without naming its sources. The company previously said it would introduce the tablet this year.
LG wants to sell 10 million of its Optimus One smartphones before taking on tablet devices like Apple Inc's (AAPL) iPad.
"LG should improve its smartphone and TV businesses first," Chun Sung Hoon, an analyst at Hana Daetoo Securities Co. in Seoul, told Bloomberg News.
