Free iPhone 4 case offer from Apple ends today

If you bought the iPhone 4 when it launched this summer and are dealing with reception problems then you'll want to hurry up and ask Apple for a free iPhone 4 case today. The program, which provides a free case to anyone who applies for it through an iPhone app, ends today. Apple say it's committed to providing cases to the "small percentage" of iPhone users who need a case and purchase an iPhone 4 after today; but September 30th is the last day to get a free case with the iPhone app. After today, users with antenna problems will need to call AppleCare for help.
Apple launched the free iPhone 4 case program at a special event in July after Consumer Reports issued an announcement stating that even though the iPhone 4 was the organization's highest rated smart phone Consumer Reports, "can't recommend the iPhone 4."
As part of the program, anyone who purchased an iPhone 4 could request a bumper case through the iPhone 4 Case Program app within 30 days. The iPhone 4 Case Program app is available as a free download in the Apple app store. The entire process can be completed in a few minutes on the iPhone.
Apple is also refunding previously purchased Bumper cases bought from an Apple store or from AT&T. If you already purchased an iPhone 4 Bumper case from an Apple store with a credit card you should automatically receive a refund. If you paid with cash, check or a gift card you should take your receipt to your local store before it closes today. If you bought the case from AT&T you will need to mail in a rebate form postmarked by today.
