IRS Will Stop Mailing Out Tax Return Forms, Instructions

tax formThe IRS will stop mailing out paper forms and instructions for annual income tax returns as more people file their taxes online.

About 11.5 million people who filed paper tax returns in 2009 got the tax information in the mail, The Washington Post reported. The mailing included 44 pages of instruction last year.

This year, more than 96 million individuals filed their tax returns online, with a further 20 million paper returns filed by paid tax preparers.

Taxpayers who want to file paper returns can still obtain the forms online, at local IRS offices or at participating libraries and post offices.

The move will save the IRS about $10 million a year in printing and postage costs.

Here's an idea, tell the IRS to kiss your ass. Income tax is unconstitutional and you should not be paying your hard earned money to the IRS, because in goes directly to the Federal Reserve. Do you think it's just a coincidence the Federal Reserve and income tax were both passed in 1913. Ronald Regan did a study to find out where our tax dollars go and could not come up with an answer. The IRS could also save $10M a year just by getting rid of just 100 of their worthless auditors.

Sadly in a time where many have computers, it is so easy to assume everyone has a computer or has access to one. This is just plain 100% wrong. The population that does not have computers or ready access to a computer is larger than the computer using community thinks. I think it is grossly unfair for the IRS to discontinue mailing forms and instructions to taxpayers. I understand the need to eliminate waste. Some states have a system where you have to check a box on your current year's return to receive the forms and instructions next year. If the IRS would adopt this method, they would still greatly reduce waste, while providing the forms to those who can't afford, dont have access to, don't use, etc a computer.

The easiest thing to do is to go to www.irs.gov follow the link and download your forms, and if necessary, instructions in the comfort of your own home. Sending the packets to the taxpayers seems to me to be overkill and unnecessary.

We have Big, Big Problems in ALL Departments and Aspects of Big, Big Government. This goes for ALL Levels of Govt. from Federal to State and to Local levels. The post office is a Joke, a bad joke, and the joke is on us, the citizens. UPS and Federal Express are busier than ever and hire more and more people ... the Post office is bloated, rasies prices continually and cuts services .... why? Because they hire (not all) but a huge amount under skilled, unmotivated, apathetic, under achieving, graded on a curve, lazy, OVERPAID and OVER BENIFITED people by absolutly using the Affirmative Action guidelines and model. So, you reap what you sow. Go to just about ANY Govt. Service Agency ... at any Level of Government and you will find a MAJORITY of "I Don't give a crap" "You're gonna wait until I'm ready to deal with you" and "I don't have the answer", "put you on hold", "go to the back of the line and fill this out" attitude. Now just wait for Health Care ... you're gonna die waiting .. just wait and see. Another thing I've (and others have found to be true is) If you need unemployment help, food stamps, rent assistance, child care payment collection, legal representation help, made aware of social programs available to you .... you better be a minority or a person of color other than white ... because you will be "reluctantly" helped at best to be pointed in the right direction, especially if your "advisor" or "social clerk" IS a person of color or minority,ause a white caucasion somehow to them does not rate well with them or does not deserve their help to obtain those services ... but if you are one of their folks .... they go out of their way to help you and point you in the right direction. You want to talk about biased, raceist and complacient pompus individuals ... look no further than Government Services. I'll bet 75% of those working in the service trenches of govt. couldn't get a job or keep it anywhere else and the other 25% are overpaid managers or executives who would never have those positions in the private sector either.

I think our government would save a lot more money by cutting the gauranteed pay increases, pensions and lifetime medical of all of the dummy fat cats and all of they're union crony's including police, fire, politians, auto workers, iron workers, electrical workers and so on. And they should not be excluding themselves and those crony's from from this so called great heath care overhall. While we are all starving these people are getting raises and benefits on our hardworking under paid backs

Looks like the printers and the post office will be laying off people after this year. More jobless people entering an already over crowded job market. I hope a lot of the fools are enjoying they're change, and there is more coming. You can count on it.
