More than 210,000 vases sold at Michael's stores in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled because they can easily shatter and have cut several people, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada said.
At least nine people reported being cut when their vases shattered in their hands. The 20-inch tall square glass vases were imported from China by the Gerson Company.
The vases have SKU# 405334 and UPC: 0-37916-88960-3. You can find those on a label on the underside of the vase.
Michael's sold the vases for about $15 between July 2006 and March 2010.
If you have one of the vases, you are urged to stop using it. Check to see if you have a receipt for its purchase. If you don't, take a photograph of it as evidence of your ownership. Then throw it away and contact Gerson for a refund.
You can reach Gerson at (877) 461-6298 weekdays 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time, visit the company's recall site or email email@example.com.
