There's plenty of value to be found in this week's assortment of totally free stuff, from a free Zappos VIP membership, to three free issues of Seventeen magazine and a free appetizer at Chili's. There's also free soda at the movies, free vitamins, and free toothpaste. If you are a warehouse shopper, make sure to print out the 60-day free BJ's membership below. Have a great weekend!
Get a free Zappos VIP membership, which comes with free one-day shipping, when you share your name, e-mail and create a password for the site. Offer ends Oct. 8, 2010. Upgrading to one-day business shipping usually costs $25 per order. The VIP membership is valid as long as you keep the account open, I believe. Zappos offers non-VIPs (i.e. everyone) free shipping and free returns, costs that are factored into the price of their shoes. The site also sells clothes and accessories. Here are all the caveats.
Sign up for the Chili's e-mail club and get a coupon for a free order of Skillet Queso and chips that is valid when you order any entree. Chili's will also send you e-mails with specials and exclusive offers. To get the freebie, share your name, e-mail, ZIP code, date of birth and favorite Chili's location. The coupon is good for two weeks only. The free dish comes with warm chips and salsa to dip into a cheesy-beef dip. The sign-up form vows "never to rent or sell your personal information" and you can always unsubscribe if you don't find the e-mails relevant. Your printer button should pop up so make sure it is turned on and has paper.
Get three free issues of Seventeen magazine when you share your name, address and e-mail. The freebie comes via ValueMags and is sponsored by ShopTheLook.net. ValueMags swears you won't get a bill or any further communication and you can even check a box saying you don't want to receive any more special offers. The site connects potential customers (i.e. people who are interested in Seventeen magazine might also be interested in the sponsor site, ShopTheLook.net) with businesses by offering magazine deals and freebies. This deal won't last long at all -- maybe a few hours -- so sign up quickly if you are interested!
"Like" Regal Theaters' Facebook page and get a coupon for a free small drink. No purchase necessary. The coupon is only valid on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. At least they didn't restrict it to a weeknight when you're less likely to go see a movie. Once you "like" the page, click on the coupon tab to print it. The coupon is valid at Regal Cinemas, United Artist Theaters and Edwards Theaters. Bring the coupon to the concession stand to redeem. Caveats: valid at participating locations only. Not valid with any other offers or discounts. Limit one per person.
Snag a free sample of Emergen-C's latest flavor. Emergen-C has tapped the citrus and berry flavors hard, so I'm guessing it's going to be something like... watermelon. Share your name, address, e-mail, gender, year of birth, and answer three questions about your use of Emergen-C to get the freebie. You have to be a subscriber to the Emergen-C newsletter to qualify. If you are not signed up, go to this web site and click on "Sign Up," then come back to this post and click the top link to fill out the freebie form. There's no telling when the company will run out of samples. Or, you can sign up to receive a free Emergen-C sample of the classic orange flavor. Look for the "Free Sample" bubble in the upper right corner.
Get a free sample of gingivitis-fighting Crest toothpaste courtesy of Walmart when you answer two questions about your teeth. If you don't appear to have gingivitis, Crest will send you a sample of another type of toothpaste. Share your name, address, e-mail, and birth year, then answer three quick questions about your brushing habits. You can opt in or out of Walmart's e-mail newsletter. This freebie already ran out once, so I don't expect it to last long. Give your free sample a few weeks to arrive.
There's still time to grab a free BJ's membership for 60 days when you print out this BJ's coupon. Expires Dec. 31, 2010. Typically, BJ's offers a free one-day membership but it comes with a 15% surcharge that is redeemed if you join the club within 7 days. This BJ's coupon, however, gets you membership without any surcharges. The 60-day period is certainly long enough for you to decide if buying an annual member, which is $45, makes sense for you. You need to print out the coupon to get the free membership. BJ's has one of the best coupon policies of the warehouse clubs. BJ's accepts in-house coupons (obviously), manufacturer coupons and food stamps. BJ's has more than 189 locations in 15 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
