Stores opened late last night as the eagerly anticipated Halo: Reach
video game went on sale in the U.S. and 24 other nations.
GameStop stores held Halo trivia contests while more than 400 Best Buy stores were open for the game's release, GamePro reported.
The game, which depicts the violent battle between humanity and aliens, is the latest in a franchise that began with Halo: Combat Evolved
on the Xbox. It's already a big hit with reviewers.
"An epic story, incredible pacing, and a spot-on mix of old and new elements make Reach's campaign Halo's best yet," Matt Cabral wrote on GamePro.
