3G today announced that it plans to appoint Bernardo Hees, a partner at the investment group, as CEO of the fast-food retailer once the deal is complete.
Hees was previously CEO of America Latina Logistica, a railroad and logistics company.
Last week, 3G Capital and Burger King announced an agreement whereby 3G would buy the fast-food retailer for $4 billion. Once the deal is complete, which should be in the fourth quarter of this year, Behring will assume the position of co-chairman of the board, with current CEO John Chidsey also a co-chairman.
Hees joined 3G Capital as a partner in July. Previously, he worked in positions including CEO, CFO and COO at America Latina Logistica.
