India is seeking to crack down on Internet security, threatening to ban the use of BlackBerry smartphones if Research In Motion (RIMM) did not allow the government to monitor messages.
India's Home Secretary Secretary G.K. Pillai said that similar measures will be taken with Google and Skype, though he did not say when, Reuters reported.
