KT Corp. (KT), South Korea's largest fixed-line phone operator and second-largest mobile carrier, launched a new tablet computer with the Google (GOOG) Android operating system.

The tablet, called the Identity Tab, will sell for KRW300, 000, or $253, each, MarketWatch reported. The tablet will offer wireless Internet connectivity.

The success of the Apple (AAPL) iPad has drawn attention to the potential of the tablet market, with companies including Samsung Electronics (SSNHY) and LG Electronics (LGLD) also planning to launch devices in the Korean market.
