California Meat Processor Recalls 1 Million Pounds of Beef

Valley Meat, a meat processor based in Modesto, Calif., has recalled 1 million of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli.

The products, which include "Bigger Valley Burger" and "Ground Beef Chuck Patties," were sold in California, Texas, Oregon, Arizona and internationally, the company said in a statement. They were produced between Oct. 2, 2009 and Jan. 12, 2010. Most of the products were sold frozen.

Customers who return the affected products will be able to claim a full refund.

"This is the first recall in our history and we will investigate the matter thoroughly and take any measures deemed necessary to further elevate our safety standards, protect consumers, and ensure confidence in our products," the statement said.

It doesn't matter, left or right, blue or red, GOP or DNC, we are all getting screwed... REAL Americans - the ones with a brain know, that the party's keep weak minded people at each others throats with cheap politics, so the corporations and wealthy individuals whose fault everything really is, keep walking away to the overseas banks with all our money, and dumb idiots waste time listening to FOX or MSNBC... simple fact. We are on the tail end of the greatest theft in human history... wake up America...

It's time we got rid of the meat inspectors. They are another example of big government picking our pockets.

drgandee----see just like all Bush lovers, Obama haters, you resort to the same tactics----name calling when presented with the facts about George Bush. Instead of doing that why not TRY looking up facts and then perhaps you will see that what I wrote is true----and stop the name calling
Perhaps you do not want to look it up, because you may find out it is true

GOOD-BYE

Yes, david, I do blame Bush. Why did he rescind an order that protects American consumers. If you do not believe me. LOOK IT UP-----he was the one that rescinded that order----simple as that
I do not blame him for everything, just for all the failures of his pathetic administration, whose only concern was for the rich
