Initial Jobless Claims Fall 11,000 to 457,000

Initial jobless claims fell 11,000 to a seasonally adjusted figure of 457,000 in the week ending July 24. The revised figure for the previous week was 468,000.

The four-week moving average, a clearer measure of unemployment trends, fell 4,500 to 452,500, the Department of Labor said in a statement.

Seems to me that joblessness normally falls this time of year. Overall
unemployment in the US will not get better until the outsourcing of
American jobs comes to an end. This will require a lot of courage on the
part of out politicians; something they have been remarkably short on.
It is hard to have the courage to legislate a halt to something that has
brought you so much personal gain.
