Financial Reform Law May Let SEC Keep More Secrets from Public

Financial Reform Law May Let SEC Keep More Secrets from Public The most sweeping change to financial regulation since the Great Depression might have made it easier for the Securities and Exchange Commission to keep its secrets from the public.

Under the new regulations, the SEC no longer has to comply with most public requests for information, including those made under the Freedom of Information Act, FoxBusiness.com reported.

The financial reform legislation signed into law by President Barack Obama last week exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from "surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities," FoxBusiness.com reported.

Because the SEC is a regulatory body, only Congress and federal agencies can request that information from it under the new rules, FoxBusiness.com reported.

Crooks, cheats, liars, and losers. That is the government we have elected. Our "president", IS going to go down as the man who "CHANGED" America more than any other president in history. Steve Wynn quoted someone from our government in 1909 that said it best....."Our democracy will thrive until the day that politicians realize they can bribe the electorate with their own money." Most of us Americans are sell-outs and the Obama Regime is proving that. The worst part is that so many of the morons that voted for this fraud still have yet to realize the gravity of their decision. For those of you in denile, the truth will set you free. Once you can garnish the strength to admit you have contributed to the worst mistake of your life and asked the rest of us for forgiveness, WE might be able to "CHANGE" this country back into America. Might, being the operative word there, because our government is doing everything it can to stop US from having any say in what they do to us. Stock up on vaseline!

slowly, the obama administration, is increasing the regulatory power, and the size of the government, while the rights and freedoms of the people are taken away. every time some crises happens, obama comes up with more rules and regulations, at a staggering cost to taxpayers, and at the same time, without congressional oversight, he slips in little tidbits, that inhibit the rights of the people. cap and trade, is already being implemented by the epa, and the commerce department....once again, no oversight. this progressive, socialist agenda, of redistribution of wealth, sounds great, but remember, it will be our wealth, not the obamas, clintons, or pelosies.

and once more, The Obama Chicago element appears. Tell the people one thing, while making sure the loop holes are built in to protect the very ones that the legislation was supposed to curb. This is from the man who is determined to level the playing field for all americans. Of course, the only field he is interested in leveling, is the middle & lower income brackets. Does anyone notice that the politicians that Have, always pass legislation that makes it harder, if not impossible, for the have nots to even get a shot?
