Philandering golf great Tiger Woods will pay soon-to-be ex-wife Elin Nordegren an eye-popping $750 million as part of a divorce settlement, according to report published in the U.K. tabloid The Sun. Woods's net worth had been estimated at $1 billion, but the paper said Nordegren's lawyers had discovered assets exceeding that amount.

It's the richest payout ever for a celebrity divorce.

Nordegren will be granted physical custody of the couple's two children, but the pair will share legal custody, allowing Woods to visit daughter Sam, 3, and son Charlie, 1. But Woods is banned from "letting girlfriends near his kids," the paper said.

The Price of Silence

For her part, Nordegren is prohibited from doing media interviews or discussing her husbands affairs with as many as 20 women. "The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life - even if Tiger dies first - or she'll lose the lot," according to a source quoted by The Sun.

In addition, Nordegren will keep the couple's home in Windermere, Florida, as well as an apartment in Stockholm, and other property. Woods will get the pair's $75 million estate in Jupiter Island, Florida, and the $3 million apartment in Los Angeles. Nordegren is expected to file for divorce in the next week.

The most expensive celebrity divorce is thought to be basketball great Michael Jordan's $150 million split from wife Juanita in 2002.
