Parents often joke about a price for their babies when they get to the check-out counter at stores (at least we do), but perhaps that's not so funny anymore in light of a couple's recent attempt to actually sell a baby for $25 with Walmart as the setting. Police in Salinas, Calif. say that a couple tried to sell their 6-month old outside the store on Wednesday.

People approached in the parking lot by the couple thought they were joking, but when the offers became more persistent, they called the police.
