Waitress delivers items from Denny's menuWallet watchers, Denny's menu has something for you. The family-style restaurant announced the launch of a menu featuring items ranging from $2 to $8 starting April 3. The all-day, 7-days-a-week Denny's menu will feature traditional favorites and a la carte menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and late night.

What's on Denny's menu for $2? Biscuits and gravy with hash browns, or an egg, a stack of pancakes, cheese fries or pancake puppies. An additional $2 will get you dishes such as all you can eat pancakes. For $6 you can buy among others, endless soup & garden salad, a pulled BBQ chicken sandwich or a classic burger and fries, and if you feel like spending a bit more you can treat yourself to entrees such as Asian chicken salad and a drink or spicy cowboy chopped steak , two sides, dinner bread and drink for just $8.

The new Denny's menu has been tested in select markets since December. "The new $2 $4 $6 $8 offering redefines the concept of traditional value menus, moving consumers beyond the idea that fast food is their only affordable option, " said Nelson Marchioli, CEO and President of Denny's.

In recent times, an anorexic economy, rising unemployment and a spike in gas prices have reduced consumer spending at restaurants. The industry is relying on creativity to infuse enthusiasm among diners. Many chains like Denny's are shrinking portions and offering value meals to lure customers. Fast food players such as Burger King and Subway are trying to rev up a comatose breakfast market with new offerings and deals. While some others are trumpeting healthy options on the menu.

"The initial response to this menu has been very positive," John Dillon, the vice president of marketing for Denny's, said in a press release. "With $2 $4 $6 $8, our guests tell us they can now get an amazing variety of affordable meal options literally any time of day, without having to compromise on service or quality to do it."
