Glick had perhaps the most visible presence of anyone on Fox Business for nearly two years, hosting the back-to-back morning shows Money for Breakfast and Opening Bell. But the former was displaced when FBN began airing a simulcast of Imus in the Morning in October.
Glick tells DailyFinance the airtime squeeze had nothing to do with her decision to try something new. "Imus is a terrific addition to this network and I wish him all the success in the world," she said via email. "It is time for me to spread my wings. When opportunity comes knocking, you have to follow your heart to the next chapter. I know the next chapter will be just as exhilarating as the last one."
Here's the farewell note she sent to colleagues.

Subj: Hello, Not Goodbye
Earlier this morning I announced to my colleagues and our viewers that I will be leaving Fox. It has been an honor and a privilege working with each and every one of you. I can't thank you enough for your friendship, guidance and presence on-air as we launched this network. As I said earlier this morning, I have enjoyed three fulfilling years of growth, learning and development. How many people can say they have had the opportunity to help build a brand new network? Being the first new employee of FBN and seeing it grow to over 300 extraordinarily talented employees has been the experience of a lifetime. I am so proud of what we have accomplished and I wish my colleagues continued success in the future.
If it were not for each of you, none of this could have been possible. I know you have many questions and as you can understand it's too early to make an announcement. I am about to embark on a new venture that will allow me to utilize the skills I have learned at Fox Business, Morgan Stanley, and the Today Show. I can't give any details yet, but suffice it to say that I am extremely excited about taking on yet another interesting and unique project.
In the meantime you can reach me at [redacted].
Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday! May all your dreams come true in 2010!
