A few years back, Mark Cuban set up Sharesleuth to investigate public company fraud. The latest post is interesting, detailing a potential penny stock fraud (on a stock with zero volume). But I suspect the site has gone in a different direction than Cuban had intended. There's plenty of fraud in mid-cap and large-cap companies that investors are exposed to through 401k plans, mutual funds, etc. Digging through the mud is interesting, but I don't think it's the greatest use of Cuban's resources.
