I bought a Sodastream soda maker for my family last Christmas. Let me tell you, it was one of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever purchased. We use it everyday! While it might not be as economical as one would wish, it certainly has the upside of no lugging home cases of canned pop. Oh yeah, and all of those empty cans/plastic bottles stay out of the earth. Hurray!

I dson't believe many people wouldcarry this kit, flavor bottles, and ice around to have an ice cold beverage.
Another thing....I HATE the taste of Splenda!
