Free homemade soap (it's blue!) -- from Cloud 9 Salon Spa

Cloud 9 Salon Spa is offering a free sample of its homemade soap by filling out an online form.

The company's Web site says that glycerin is made in its soap and that it's a natural by-product of the soap-making process that is removed when commercial soap is processed because it's a valuable by-product.

Glycerin is a humectant -- a substance that moisturizes the skin.

The blue bar of homemade soap is supposed to last as long or longer than a commercial bar, if kept dry between uses.
