If Adobe Photoshop is too expensive for your tastes and didn't come with your computer, Adobe Photoshop Express may be for you.

Available for free in a beta version here, the program is internet based and, like Google's online apps, your account/photos can be accessed from any computer once you sign up.

Adobe is hoping to use the freeware to boost its brand recognition and lure people in to buy its Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 software, which will set your back $81.99 on Amazon. But I think that the vast majority of users will decide that the online software is adequate and that, especially given the cash-strapped status of the American consumer, this online version may hurt sales of the program.

But for now, this is great news for anyone looking to do some editing work on their photos.
